To anyone interested in ships and boats, Goole is an excellent place to visit to see a working port in action. Many sea going vessels visit the the port with a variety of different cargos including containers, wood, cars and grain. Although most of the docks are prohibited from the public, there exists a right of way which passes through the docks and over one of the locks to the river Ouse. Much can be seen from Bridge street which is the main street through the dock area. It is this road which links Goole to Old Goole.
